Global Design Project #289 | Color Challenge

This week's color combination is Real Red, Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White.

This turned out to be a challenge for me; I actually made 2 cards because I ended up not liking the first one!

Wish me luck!

Sunday Sneak Peek!

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog!  I am anxious to show you little peeks into the Stampin' Up 2021-2022 Annual Catalog;  there are a lot of really gorgeous new products in the catalog just waiting for you!  The catalog goes live on May 3, 2021 so stay tuned.

As a Demonstrator, I have the opportunity to pre-order a selective number of items from the catalog. I've ordered the following new In Color Products, including Blends Markers, Ink Pads, and Cardstock  in all Five colors: Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Fresh Fresia,  Pale Papaya and Polished Pink.  I also ordered on of the new Suites called Pansy Petals - oh how I love me some Pansies!  The Suite is priced at a discount and includes the Pansy Patch Stamp set, Pansy Dies, Pansy Petals DSP, and the Bumble Bee Trinkets.  You can also order any of these items separately.

I happily present to you: my first sneak peek using: Pansy DSP, Pansy Dies & Pansy Patch Stamp Set.

I found my inspiration from Fellow Demonstrator, Jana's Paper Dreams; Jana created the card below on the left. I love Jana's work as she creates many lovely and creative cards and projects.  Since I love her work, I decided to CASE her card.  For those who may not know - CASE is a term used in the card making world which stand for: Copy An Selectively Enhanced.

My CASED card is on the Right.  Changes I made are:  a different die for the White background, a different sentiment, a changed color-way on one of the smaller pansies, and some Pink Metallic Thread from my stash.

For my card, I die-cut the flowers from the DSP, die cut the leaves from the new Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen cardstocks.. Next I die-cut the scalloped piece from White card-stock, embellished with pink metallic thread from my stash & added Three of the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.
Don't you just love the DSP in the background of my card?  That's another one of the papers from the DSP!
This card is really pretty simply using the DSP an dies but there's so much more!  My next step will be creating more cards using the stamps & dies!
Come back for a visit on Friday to see my next project with this Suite!  Until then, my Hubby & I are off tomorrow morning for a 3-day getaway to Cambria, CA! See you on Friday...

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog.  The Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge, No 108 is my second challenge for today. I spent a lot of time, stamping, die cutting, fussying around and being my “perfectionist self” on the card below, and loved every minute!

For my TTT choice, I chose the Top Line Across: Word Mom + Florals + Embellishment.  My card feautures Stampin' UP's Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set and Hydrangea Dies.

I am really disappointed with the colors in my photo; they are vibrant and realistic on my camera, however the colors appear very  "dull"  on this screen! Plus, the details of the leaves get lost.

I had a wonerful time playing this afternoon! Please comment and let me know what you think, thank you!

Global Design Project #286 | Sketch Challenge

Hello Thursday,

Today I am sharing my entry for the Global Design Project #286; I've entered one of these contests before but not for a while.  So, I throw myself into the pool of entries today!

This was a fun sketch to work with; below are the Two cards I made.  The card on the left was first; it was made yesterday.  I decided this morning that I wasn't super thrilled so I made the card on the right.  The  Hydrangea card will be my entry.

Both cards were made with Stampin' UP products.  The designer papers are from "Forever Greenery"; the dies I used are: Hydrangea and Layering Circles.

Which card is your favorite and why?

Easter Rose Flurry

Hello and welcome to my Blog; I am happy you are here.  I am an Independent Demonstrator with Stampin' Up who also dabbles with other art forms including 3D projects and Mini Albums.

These cards were created with an Altenew die set: "Rose Flurries 3D Die".  I am ashamed to admit I bought the Rose Flurry die set a year or two ago and honestly was too intimidated and impatient to play with these dies and figure out how to match up and use! Actually, the hardest part was separating the different dies into flowers and leaves.  There are 4 dies, that fit together, per each of the Four different flowers and Three different leaf designs.  Once I figured this out -they were so much fun!
I cut flowers with various Stampin' Up colored cardstocks.  The pieces were adhered together for the full rose and the partial rose, plus the leaf/stem.  I adhered the floral arrangement on a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut using the largest rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  This piece was adhered to Stampin' Up's Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper; the sentiment is from an earlier Paper Pumpkin Kit.  The embellishments are from my stash.

I think the cards turned out nice amd intend to make more projects with this die set!  I made up Four Easter Cards with the new Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Antique Rose Layering Die set but I'll not be able to post pictures until next week, AFTER the recipients get theirUS Mail!!!  Until then, I'd appreciate your feedback on these cards.

Sea Dream Mini Abum

Here's my newest Mini Abum. I fell in love with the Romantic Collection from Stamperia called, "Sea Dream" and got started on the album as soon as my paper order arrived! The album "recipe" is from Christine's YouTube video; she is affiliated with Scrap N Create. Christine created multiple videos that cover all aspects of the album from the album build, decorating (adding the design papers and embellishments) plus a video walk-through of her finished album! I made a video so you could see the full walk throught but I'm not able to attach my video.  That's the downfall of being a "newbie" with blog posts, guess!  I am working on my learning curve & will keep at it! In the meantime, I did post some stills below.
I am often asked, "what are you going to do with this album?" Answer for this one iis: this one is for me! I am going to add pictures from my get-aways and Cambria vacation this year.
This album is filled with lots of tuck spots  and flaps for pictures and journaling, and lots of beautiful to enjo! I hope you like this as much as I do; let me know what you think.
